All of our handsets are covered by Carphone Warehouse's own insurance service, which costs £5.99 per month for basic handsets and £7.99 per month for more advanced ones; the cost of insuring your handset will be displayed in the cart when you check out.
Don't forget that if you do not wish to have this cover for your handset you can cancel the policy at any time with no penality, including within the first (free) month.
Important Information for Customers who Purchased a Phone Prior to 22nd October 2007.
Every contract ("Pay Monthly") phone purchased through our website or Sales Helpline from the 1st of November 2006 onwards is automatically covered by an insurance policy. This policy is free for the first month of your contract and is then charged at 5.99 GBP per calendar month. This policy can be cancelled at any time without penalty by contacting the administrators.
Within 10 days of getting your phone you will receive full information from the administrators of the policy by post, including cancellation and claim information. Further information including the scope of the cover, information on the administrators and underwriters and your rights as they apply to this policy is available below. Phones purchased prior to this date (for clarity, any phone connected on or before the 31st of October 2006) is covered by Phone Assure Insurance. Full details of their policy is available here for 3G phones and here for all non-3G phones.
