Mobile Connect takes advantage of T-Mobile's 3G HSDPA network, offering connection speeds that are up to seven times faster than a 56k modem dial-up connection. If you find yourself in an area without 3G coverage, it'll keep you connected by switching automatically to the well-established GPRS data service. In both cases, you'll be able to:

Triple Band

The 3 3G USB Modem is a triple band device, which means as well as operating on 3G networks it can roam onto GSM900 and GSM1800 networks in over 150 countries world-wide. (Please check first as 3G and GPRS roaming is not available in all countries). Roaming charges apply. An antenna connector means you can plug in external aerial if you regularly find yourself in fringe coverage.

Coverage

T-Mobile 3G HSDPA is a brand new technology and 3G coverage is available in key towns and cities. Coverage is continually being extended but is currently available to over 60% of the UK population. When outside of a T-Mobile 3G HSDPA area, your data card will automatically switch to GPRS which covers 99% of the UK population.

GPRS

GPRS is an "always on" Mobile Internet service that is typically 2 to 3 times faster than traditional GSM data. Effectively being online continuously, there is no delay due to dialling up to your service provider and GPRS technology means that you are only charged by the amount of data you transfer, not how long you are online for.
